Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

Wow. This thing is amazing. My friend just got the Razer Mamba wireless gaming mouse and I got a chance to play around with it. We are both very impressed. Razer always puts out some of the best gaming mice on the market. Their products repeatedly live up to expectations. The Razer Mamba is the first wireless gaming mouse to come out, and they set the bar pretty high with this one.

The wireless Mamba mouse has a response time of 1ms. That’s right, a ONE millisecond response time. The grip of this mouse is excellent. It feels really good in the hand. Additional buttons are two thumb buttons, and two buttons on the top left for switching the DPI of the mouse. With the DPI switching buttons, you can immediately switch the sensitivity of your mouse up to 5600 dpi.

The software for the Mamba is extremely useful. You can customize the dpi changing levels, power-saving settings, etc. A fancy charging dock is included with the Razer Mamba wireless gaming mouse.

This mouse has a hybrid functionality. What that means is you can alternatively plug it in using a USB cord. Plugging it in via USB also acts as a charger.

The Razer Mamba wireless gaming mouse is truly in a class of its own. The quality is amazing, and with this level of quality, expect to pay good money. This gaming mouse retails for $129.99. Again, don’t let that discourage you. You get what you pay for! And in the case of this gaming mouse, you get a lot! You can actually get it cheaper than that at the link below.

Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse Review

The Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse is the successor of the Logitech G5 Laser Mouse. The G500 has the same shape accompanied by some awesome new features. The G500 gaming mouse has also improved upon features of the G5.

With a customizable resolution of 200 to 5700 DPI, you won’t need to worry about sensitivity restrictions. The location of these buttons is superior since they are well placed and ergonomic. The G500 has an improved customizable weight cartridge adding to a more personal experience.

Some people had a problem with accidentally hitting the ‘back’ and ‘forward’ buttons on the old G5. That is no longer an issue as the G500. There is now an additional middle button, making 3 buttons, near the thumb.

The scroll wheel on the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse has an interesting feature for scrolling at an extremely fast speed. There is a toggle button below the wheel which when pressed will make the wheel turn at an ultra-fast speed, sort of like spinning a skateboard or rollerblade bearing.

The only feature of the Logitech G5 Laser Mouse I miss is the printed design! I loved that black and blue spiderman-like look. But hey, that’s not that big of a deal. After all, it is only a print. While the G5 still has a special place in my heart, there is no denying the G500 is a much superior mouse, and perhaps the best gaming mouse on the market. The Logitech G500 Gaming mouse is perfect for First Person Shooters.

Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse Review

Logitech’s G5 Gaming mouse is one of my all-time favorite gaming mice.

The Logitech G5 has adjustable weights giving you a more personalized experience. I prefer every slot filled with the 4.5gram weights personally.

Another cool feature this gaming mouse has is customizable sensitivity. There are two small buttons near the mouse wheel, one for decreasing sensitivity and one for increasing it. This feature is handy when playing a game where you need to very quickly slow down or increase the sensitivity of your gaming mouse.

This updated version, version 2, of the G5 laser mouse has two buttons near the thumb which are preset for ‘back’ and ‘forward’ in a web browser.

The bottom of the mouse has these really slick gliding pads which make using the Logitech G5 laser mouse extremely smooth. Not only is this mouse super for gaming, but it’s also great for not gamers as well! I really enjoy playing online poker with this gaming mouse. When I’m not playing first-person shooters I’m mass multi-tabling online poker (sometimes 30 tables at a time!) and the Logitech G5 gaming mouse has never failed me!

The Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse has now been replaced with the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse. The new Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse has the same shape as the Logitech G5 in addition to some new features and increased hardware.
